A start.

My cosplays for Celebration VI are not going to be anything like my imagination had built them up to be. For one thing, money and tiem was an issue for me. Next go around they'll be much better. ;) I know these are lame to a certain extent, but I feel proud that my mom and I were able to find ALL this stuff (except for those gray skinny jeans, they're her's) at the Goodwill on ONE (count them UNO) shopping trip. Yep. Even the boots. And I got a brown pair of costume boots. AND my mom got some black costume boots as well. We scored big time.

Tried on some of the belts, but I'm not happy with them quite yet. I need more to work with.

Jaina Solo. I'm going to take in the pants a LOT, and tweek it a bit. May even change this all together. Not sure yet. So far this one is just rubbing me the wrong way.

Jaina Solo (2) This one is very satisfying to me. :D I just have to run and buy my FX lightsaber tomorrow.

Well, we're going shopping again tomorrow for costume gear, so my final touches should at least be started on tomorrow. My brother will also get started on putting his together as well. Photos of that coming soon. ;)

Cia Klivian Cosplay

My good friend Fallon has many AMAZING 'Star Wars' Original Characters! One of them, is Cia Klivian, daughter of Hobbie and Fallon (teehee, HER) Klivian! So, I decided to cosplay her one of the days I go to Celebration VI, as I'm going all four days. I'm so excited!! Here's the basic idea for the costume:

Fabrics, pants and boots, oh my!

Today I did some research for my Jaina Solo (Young Jedi Knight) costume. I'm still not sure whether I'm going to do major sewing for this one, or just alter some regular clothes to fit the bill. But in any case, I looked up some fabrics that would work, as well as some pants and boots. I wasn't very successful in finding pants, but I'll keep trying.

This texture and color looks pretty good for the main part of the tunic.

Not really what I had in mind, but something like this would work. The color is the main thing, it's pretty much perfect!

These boots were MADE for this costume (actually, they're designer riding boots)!! Unfortunately, they cost $300! :O

So I've been looking at cheaper versions (as in, $20 or less!), kind of like this.

May the Force be with you,

Tahiri
